Hurricane Assistance Request

Be the Difference This Hurricane Season

For many living with Parkinson’s disease, preparing for hurricane season isn’t just stressful—it can be dangerous. Simple tasks like putting up shutters or clearing debris become overwhelming when mobility is limited. That’s where you come in.

DOB Parkinson’s Charity is hiring caring, capable individuals to help our community members stay safe and secure during storm season. This isn’t just a job—it’s a chance to make a real, tangible difference in someone’s life.

You’ll be helping with:

  • Installing or removing hurricane shutters
  • Clearing outdoor areas of debris
  • Light yard work and storm prep

These are paid positions, but the reward goes far beyond a paycheck. Your time and effort will bring peace of mind to someone who may otherwise feel forgotten or helpless in the face of a storm.

And to those who step up to help—thank you. Your kindness is more than a service; it’s a lifeline. When you assist someone with shutters, yard cleanup, or storm prep, you’re not just doing a job—you’re restoring dignity, easing fear, and reminding someone that they are seen, valued, and supported. Your time and heart make a lasting impact.

If you’re dependable, compassionate, and want to be part of something meaningful, we’d love to hear from you.
