Before I go any further let me say… I am not a doctor or health care professional. I am a 62 year old professional musician who has Parkinson’s and has spent the better part of the last four years living with this disease on a daily basis, educating myself concerning its effects.
April Is Parkinson’s Awareness Month. I got the idea to post something every day during the month of April 2016 on social media to try and share some information not only to people with Parkinson’s, but also the selfless individuals who are their caregivers. I also thought a little bit of firsthand insight might be of some use to those affected by this disease. The reaction to this endeavor was overwhelming! People from all over the globe began posting comments about friends, family and their own personal struggles with this disease.
