Why This Program Exists
For many living with Parkinson's disease, preparing for hurricane season isn't just stressful — it can be dangerous. Simple tasks like putting up shutters or clearing debris become overwhelming when mobility is limited. That's where we come in.
Our hurricane assistance program connects Parkinson's patients with volunteers who can assist with storm preparation before hurricane conditions arrive. We coordinate before the storm — not after.
